Born and raised on the island of Gran Canaria, Marta dedicated herself from a very young age to dance, beginning thus her artistic journey and her love for the stage. At the age of 19, she moved to Madrid to study acting professionally at the Cristina Rota School, while at the same time studying Psychology at the Universidad Complutense of Madrid. With a university scholarship, she moved two years later to Edinburgh for a year, where she enrolled in the productions of the Bedlam Theater and she was a part of the company Cursive Productions in the production of “Mother Tongue”, in addition to following workshops with the director John Wright and the actress Danielle Farrow.
The following year, another scholarship gave her the opportunity to study for a year at The University of California, in Santa Barbara, where after a process of auditions she joined the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting where she studied alongside with professors Size by: Irwin Appel, Risa Brainin or Anne Torsiglieri. There she also took part in, among others, the production “Arabian Nights” directed by the wonderful Jeff Mills.
After her trip to the United States, Marta returned to Madrid where she finished her training as an actress in the Work in Progress school with the director Darío Facal (as well as her psychology studies at UCM obtaining the Extraordinary Prize in Psychology). Furthermore, during this time she followed workshops with many renowned professionals such as Fernando Legs, Luci Lenox, Greg Hicks, Karmele Aranburu or the Grumelot theater company (one of its great referents), and expanded her singing skills with Óscar Mingorance. At the same time she worked in several theater productions for schools and institutes as a theater teacher for children and adults.

The years 2016 and 2017 had been very important years in her theatrical career, with emphasis on her participation in “Women on women” of the Young Company in the Theater Conde Duque and in “The Experiment” of Coral Igualador (in present poster), as well as her paper Of Lady Ana in “RIII” directed by Xavier Ariza in the Spring Threshold. In addition, it starred in several short films, among which we can highlight the viral “Flechazos” by Roberto Pérez Toledo.
In 2018, her first feature film as protagonist; “Lady Off”, directed by David R. Losada, is released in the prestigious San Sebastian Film Festival. For her role in “Lady Off” she is awarded the Best Performance Prize in the 27th Madrid Film Festival.
Beyond her training process and work experience, on a personal level she believes in her artistic and professional growth through different voluntary jobs, especially those in Benin, Paraguay (Fundación Antonio Betancor, Friends of Paraguay) and Thailand (Travel to Teach). Learning about different cultures and immersing oneself in them, is one of the best experiences that one can have.

Nació y se crió en la isla de Gran Canaria, desde muy pequeña se forma en danza y con ello comienza su andadura y su amor por los escenarios. A los 19 años se traslada a Madrid a formarse profesionalmente como actriz en la Escuela de Cristina Rota al mismo tiempo que cursa los estudios de Grado en Psicología en la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Dos años después y gracias a una beca universitaria se va a vivir un año a Edimburgo donde colaborará en producciones del Bedlam Theatre y formará parte de la compañía Cursive Productions en el montaje Mother Tongue además de realizar talleres con el director John Wright y la actriz Danielle Farrow.
Al año siguiente, otra beca le da la oportunidad de estudiar durante un año en The University of California, Santa Barbara, donde tras un proceso de audiciones entra a formar parte del Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting en el que se formará con profesores de la talla de: Irwin Appel, Risa Brainin o Anne Torsiglieri. Allí también formará parte, entre otras, de la producción Arabian Nights dirigida por Jeff Mills.
Tras su paso por Estados Unidos, Marta regresa a Madrid donde termina su formación como actriz en la escuela Work in Progress de la mano del director Darío Facal (así como sus estudios de psicología en la UCM obteniendo el Premio Extraordinario de Grado en Psicología). Durante este tiempo también realizará talleres con muchos otros profesionales como Pablo Remón, Fernanda Orazi, Fernando Piernas, Greg Hicks, Karmele Aranburu o la compañía de teatro Grumelot (uno de sus grandes referentes), y ampliará su formación en canto de la mano de Óscar Mingorance. Al mismo tiempo trabajará en varias producciones de teatro para colegios e institutos y será profesora de teatro para niños y adultos.
En 2016 escribe por primera vez el guión de un cortometraje, Atí, el cual ganará el primer premio del concurso de videocreación del Festival de Teatro Clásico de Almagro de ese año. 2016, 2017 y 2018 son años prolíficos en su carrera teatral donde podemos destacar su participación en “De mujeres sobre mujeres” de La Joven Compañía en el Teatro Conde Duque, en “El Experimento” y “El Potlatch” de Coral Igualador así como su papel de Lady Ana en “RIII” dirigida por Xavier Ariza en el Umbral de Primavera. Además, protagoniza varios cortometrajes, entre los que cabe resaltar el viral “Flechazos” de Roberto Pérez Toledo. También en estos años escribe y codirige otros dos cortometrajes: “Para siempre” y “reCONOCERnos” que tienen un largo recorrido por festivales y codesarrolla y coprotagoniza la webserie “Mar&Flor”.
En 2018 se estrena en el prestigioso Festival de San Sebastián su primer largometraje como protagonista, “Lady Off”, dirigido por David R. Losada. Por su papel en “Lady Off” obtiene el Premio a Mejor Interpretación en Largometraje en el 27 Festival Internacional de Cine de Madrid.
En 2019 y 2020 actúa en el Centro Dramático Nacional con “La Gran Boda 2.0” de Victoria Teijeiro, dentro del festival Una Mirada Diferente y en “La Cuarta Sala” de Los Teatros del Canal, mientras sigue desarrollando proyectos propios como “Duele” (proyecto con adolescentes de concienciación sobre la violencia de género).
En 2021, mientras rueda varias series, desarrolla junto a la Asociación Afrocanarias el proyecto de integración a través de la creación “Nit Nitay Garabam” (La mejor medicina para una persona es otra persona) que culmina con la realización de un musical integrado y creado por mujeres y menores migrantes junto a jóvenes canarias.
En 2022 estrenará las series “Campamento Newton” para Disney y “Crossfire” para la BBC y RTVE.
